I missed my Gallery Show
Last Friday, I had to go to the ER instead of my show. I was having severe stomach pain and I just came home last evening. Good news is that I should be totally healed in 6 weeks with medication:) I'm lucky that this is the first time I've had to stay more than a few hours in the hospital with an illness.
Here are some of my thoughts while sitting in my hospital bed:
• I have the most amazing husband, 2 daughters, family and friends.
• Nurses and aides rule!
• Be grateful for the small things.
• Kindness goes a long way.
• Independence is good up to a point. Learn how to receive from others.
I am so thankful to be home and sleep in my own bed. Can't wait to see what life has to offer!

Cat: So sorry to hear of your pain, illness, and detour. How wonderful you were able to use your time confined to hospital to appreciate the good in your life. It creates a quick re-ordering of priorities doesn't it?
Here's to a speedy recovery!!
I don't know what happened to you but am glad you are home and on your way to recovery. Thank you for looking at my blog and that you leave comments. It's kind of funny, when you have a new blog, to think you are writing and taking photos and only you see it.
Bonnie
To both Bonnie's - thanks for your comments. I so appreciate them. The diagnosis was gastritis. We think it was due to medication but not sure. I'll get the biopsy results later.
Cat, sorry to hear you have been ill!!! And hoping your recovery is speedy. That stinks you missed your show. Take care.
I'm glad you're feeling better Cat, but I'm sad you had to miss your show. I have to agree with your nursing comment.... when the care you get is compassionate, makes all the difference. Get WELL soon!
Thanks Debbie and Ellen. I found out yesterday that the Gallery is going to keep my work. I have 6 frames pieces on display. I'm thrilled:)
YAYYYYY!
*happy dance*

Thanks, Kerrin! I am feeling much better.
What a lovely, lovely, positive message!
My mom told me that Dee told her, and this is the first I've looked at our blog. I think we share the same condition, and I'm sorry to hear you went thru this, but glad you're better.
It's strange: we've never met, but I so agree with your philosophy of life. And I love your photographic eye!
Jill, you are so sweet. Thanks!
