Snow and more snow

A storm came through today and dropped 6 inches of gorgeous snow. The temperature was around 32 degrees so it wasn't hard to stay outside and take photos. I just had to dodge the huge snowflakes. This cardinal was patiently posing, knowing that I would bring out some birdseed for him and his mate. I just heard from the weather report that it is suppose to snow for 36 hours straight starting Sunday. I'm dreaming of spring:)

The freshly fallen snow is really an amazing sight - you captured a great shot! We got about 8-9"!!! Pretty, but I am ready for spring.

I am wishing for spring as well ~ but if beautiful colored birds like your cardinal lived here in Saskatchewan, winter would be a little easier to take!

Love the bright cardinal against the whites and greys. We have them here too and they look almost like little Christmas decorations in the trees. We too had snow, and ice, over the weekend... it's beautiful but we lost our power because of it!
