Creative Weekend
Last weekend my husband and I went to a few garden centers so I could try out my macro lens. Whenever we go out, he brings his sketch book and a small set of paints. Here are a few sketches that he did while I was shooting.
I had also asked him if he wanted to go with me to Lawrence, Kansas to check out an Art Fair. He isn't fond of crowds, but said yes anyway. I am totally aware of the gem I have in my spouse! While I was shopping, he stood back and did a few quick sketches of vendors. I love the Santa look-alike.
I had a wonderful time with my husband shopping, shooting, and wandering the streets of Lawrence.

Thanks for asking me to come outside with you to play...you know I'd be stuck indoors all the time in front of the tv or computer screen. You're a joy to be with, dear wife!
Ahhhhh......I'm reading Warren's sweet comment to you!
What a talented pair you are!!!! Sounds like there's a lot of love in the mix too.
Wow ~ what a sweet couple! And so creative you both are ~ this is a great post! That's how I feel about me and my love's Saturday morning photoshoots ~ it's not the photos ~ it's the time we are spending together. Good Stuff! Thanks for sharing your pictures ~ both of you. Have a lovely weekend.
Astounded and uplifted by the depth of your (plural) talent and your (plural) charm.
Ahhhh, what a sweet guy you have. Congrats on the new macro. What did you get?

This is my first visit. Your photo is wonderful and his little sketches are great. Isn't it nice to be part of a happy couple?

Julie, it is a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro. I use it on my Canon Rebel.
Thanks Cat. I hear the rebel is a great camera.
What a sweet hubby you got there ^_^
