a day at the lake

dragonfly wings

My husband and I discovered Hillsdale Lake today. It is only 20 minutes from our home. I love water and plan on going back to spend more time reading and relaxing. Here are a few shots from the day. It was only in the 70's, which is very unusual for an August day in Kansas. I was counting my blessings!

i absolutly love the butterfly/dragonfly (not sure which) photo ... it's so crisp, the composition is fantastic & the colours are gorgeous.

I love when you find a place, close to home that you can go visit any time you want, & have a basis to work from. Get new ideas, explore more & just come away with better images every time.

Thanks for the sweet comments! I guess I should title the top one. Laura, it is a dragonfly. He was tricky to catch and crop:)
