Thanksgiving

Fall leaf

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I have a few quiet moments to actually think about the holiday. Usually when someone asks me what I am thankful for, I start out with "family and friends" and go from there. But this year, it's all about those relationships. My life is much richer because of them. And I am including my online friends from etsy and my blog. I am touched by the support I have received from you. It has only been a few years that I have been an artist, and I absolutely love the creative community. Thank you for your kindness and support over this last year. Happy Thanksgiving!

Friday Favorites

Nepal

This week, I am featuring my oldest daughter, Jen. She was lucky enough to travel the last few years. These are some of my favorite images that she captured on her adventures. She has a great eye for design.

glazedOver contest

A few months back, I purchased the cutest little bowls from an etsy shop called glazedOver. I use them to hold some of my jewelry supplies. They are the perfect size for small items. I love the colors and function. After I bought them from Jill, I started following her blog. Just today, I saw that she is doing a giveaway contest. I wanted to share that info so you could enter. Here is a photo of the prize, her tiny tea bag bowls.

Getting ready for the holidays.

Mockingbird

December will be here before we know it. So, I've been working on Christmas cards, both for selling and sending. I love turning on holiday music when I make my list. While I fill out each card, I lift up a prayer of thanksgiving for that person or family, and ask for blessings to follow them throughout the next year. I cherish this tradition. What are some of your holiday traditions?

Crazy made front page

This Etsy treasury was just on front page. The photo, cat nap, is of Crazy who lives at a local garden in town. I was trying out a new macro lens while she slept. She was a great model. The treasury was curated by Cocoa Beans. I've included a photo of her work below. Check out her shop by clicking the link. Thanks, Diana!

Autumn Leaves

I've been out enjoying the warm sun, birds chirping and a gentle breeze. I'm grabbing my book and heading out again. What a gorgeous day! Hope yours is just as wonderful. What did you do today?
